About SoloLift

More than a gym journal. A project poured into one idea — helping you grow, one rep at a time.

The story

Years in the making, built by one lifter

SoloLift started on the 13th of November 2023 as a project between two friends who loved both lifting and programming. Back then it was called Repsync — a simple idea to track progress in the gym so we would stop juggling a calculator, a notes app and a timer between sets.

We taught ourselves Swift as we went. The first real feature was exercise tracking: logging working sets and personal records. But over time, building it together became harder than building the app itself, and eventually we went our separate ways.

I could not let a year of work disappear, so I rebuilt it on my own — cleaner, simpler, and easier to maintain — under the name Solofit. After a break for exams and a few other projects, I picked it back up, went all in, and shipped it as the app you now know: SoloLift.

Through lonely nights and long weekends, this app reminded me who I am: patient and consistent. It is not just code to me — it is a time capsule. My hope is that it becomes as good a training partner for you as it has been for me.

What SoloLift stands for

The principles behind every update

Made by a lifter

Every feature is shaped by real training, not a marketing checklist. If it does not help you in the gym, it does not ship.

Privacy-first

No ads and no selling your data. Your Apple Health data is processed on your device and is only ever used to power features like your readiness score.

Solo-built with care

One developer, obsessive about the small details that make logging fast and the app feel right. Quality over shortcuts, every time.

Always improving

Feedback goes straight to the person writing the code, and it directly shapes what gets built next. SoloLift keeps growing with the people who use it.

A note from the developer

“I made this app to improve who I am, and I will keep working on it to do exactly that. I hope it helps you grow a little every day — on the achievements and on the days that feel impossible to get through. Thank you for being part of this journey.”
